In view of its role of monitoring and control of cosmetic products to ensure their safety and security ; SFDA collected random samples of lip stick products to ensure that they are free from toxic metals. Analysis revealed that “INDREEM LIPSTICK” Lot No. 107- C560 contained high percentage of Lead, in violation to GCC Specification No. (GSO 2009/1943). Accordingly, SFDA addressed the respective authorities to recall these products from the market and restrict their entry to the Kingdom.
