SFDA Warns about Brazilian Slimming Coffee

SFDA has analyzed several samples of the Brazilian Slimming Coffee to ensure that they are free from drug additives or toxic substances. Chromatographic analysis results showed that the Brazilian Slimming Coffee products contains high percentage of Sibutramine (15 mg/bag). This substance is internationally restricted due to its side effects on the heart and blood circulatory system. Moreover, the product’s content violated what was shown on its tag, which indicated that it only contains Caffeine, vitamins & minerals.

So, SFDA alerts consumers to stop  using this product and to dispose of any quantities they may have in hand. Moreover, consumers are advised to make sure that sufficient information are available on all products i.e., factory name, contents, lot number and production date.
