Food Safety Standards Cooperation between "SFDA" and "FSANZ"

Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) and Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of food safety standards and information exchange.
SFDA was represented by H.E the CEO, Dr. Hisham bin Saad Al-Jadhey, while FSANZ was represented by CEO, Dr. Mark Booth, held in SFDA headquarters in Riyadh.
It aims to promote the cooperation between parties in the field of food safety standards and information exchange.
The agreement includes the cooperation of two parties in the fields of food risk assessment, assessment of vulnerability to food hazards, methods for collecting food ingredients and food consumption information, in addition to chemical concentrations of food.
The parties shall promote cooperation by information exchange and experiences, visits of experts and specialists and training session.
The parties shall constitute a technical committee that sets rules and procedures for implementation of the memorandum.
